When speaking about the concept of resistance, one might ask oneself: Do we know what the cause of the resistance is? How does the resistance change over time? Why are the resistors getting smaller? And how to reach the desired amount of tension with reasonable coordination?
ARTIST
Ana Čigon (1982) graduated from the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts and obtained a bachelor’s degree in painting, and a postgraduate degree in video art. She also completed the master’s studies of Interface Cultures at the Universtität für künstlerische und industrielle Gestaltung Linz in Austria. Her work focuses mainly on video, performance and new media. In her most recent artistic projects, she deals with feminist issues, particularly the issue of underrepresentation of female artists and discourse on the patterns of recording the history of art.
